The Strength of the Faith for a Tommorow always surpasses the Strength of a Tomorrow

Tommorow is a lovely word, semiotically speaking its laziness, oppurtunity, change, monotony and a million more things... but most of all this is its denotion of unsurity

The randomness, the high energetic 'unknown'ness of this word makes it beautiful. Its so random, we cant even say if it would exist or not. It defined the evolution process upto you and me. It will probably take evolution to a higher level or completely erase of evolution's existence by erasing of its own existence. It leads you and me (though we boast to lead it). It has the power to bring in an earthquake or volcano or a tornado, and we would look at it coming towards us, like we saw the tsunami approaching us... we will look at it with our mouths gasping open and it will gulp us down in a moment of time. The time that will stop forever for us.

And without realising this, we slit each others throats for a mere stand in the elections for a college or a country so that we can realise our self interests. We fight for what we call religion, a mere faith in what is unseen but exists only in the talks and manners of those around us.

But the Faith that there will be a Tomorrow, and the struggle and strife to make it better than Today, for a humanitarian cause or a personal cause is more beautiful than the randomness of Tomorrow. Because the former has the power of building emotions into us. The fright of survival, the satisfaction of achievement, the want of the unavailable, the fear of losing... surpasses all the wonders of a Random Tomorrow...

i got hold of a beautiful poem by billy collins. we forget things in hope of knowing more. we forgot kargil. we forgot golden temple, amritsar. we forgot oil tankers breaking in the lovely ocean waters. we will forget the doctor students who have gone on a hunger strike.
i dont complain. they say its the way of life. ofcourse it is. nothing comes with a lifetime warranty, except for diamonds and free email companies who promise youll never loose your mail again.
but then why do we strive so much to be recognised. to locate yourself in the already existing. we are all going to be forgotten. bush will be forgotten. saddam will be forgotten. then why the constant stress to be known at all?

is 'to be remembered' the purpose of life on earth?

Since Monday, our Photography course has started. In this two week course, the students are taught the basics of Photography. This includes setting the camera to the right setting of the aperture, shutter speed and composing the right frame to communicate the right meaning. The composition value of a photograph is stressed upon. The first 2 days we work only on a black and white film using an SLR camera provided by the institute. From the third day colour photography is introduced. We are taught how to develop the negatives and the prints. For two weeks we are supposed to work on one subject, which is 'the contrast in the city life.'

As a part of our Visual Language course, we studied majorly about the Androgynes. The Faculty for this course was Ms. Alka Pande, who has authored books on the subject of Androgynes. (one of the books bieng the 'Ardhanarishwar')
Vinu (Graphic design), Anita (Graphic design) and me decided to give our final assignments in the form of an animation movie.
We are telling a story about the mythological period when the Universe was created by Brahma on getting hit by the arrow of Kama, the god of sex (creativity). He made the Saptarishis and the Prajapatis but failed to create mortals that could sexually give birth to an offspring. He did Tapasya (penance) and pleased Ardhanarishwar (the half female god). Ardhanarishwar split into 2 mortals of different genders. From the right half (shiva), arose the male and from the left half (shakti) arose the first female. The male and the female sexually unite to achieve the state of completion and give birth to a new entity of life. Today there is a chaos and an unbalance in the situation. A male is in constant search of his other, the female, and vice versa. But just like the yin and yang coming together, like the night and the day coming together, they always unite to achieve a state of completion. We wanted to make the story visually look indian. Hence we decided that the look and feel of the movie should be that of a kalamkari painting originated in Andhra Pradesh. We plan to get it done by sunday night.
